To dump or not to dump

Well, if you're camping out for more than a couple of days, you'll have no choice. Here's our ultimate guide on how to do your personal business in the bush.

The camping toilet

1) Take the right tools - toilet paper, matches or lighter, torch if dark (head torch is advised!) baby wipes and shovel. If you do not have a shovel, use a dead piece of wood or tent peg.

2) Find a spot at least 50m away from where you sleep.

3) Dig a hole at least 20cm deep.

4) Do what you have to do. Strong thigh muscles are needed.

5) Wipe. Burn toilet paper in hole.

6) Dig soil back over hole.

7) Use twigs to make an "x" so unknowing suspects don't accidentally uncover your deposit.

8) Wipe hands with baby wipe and take wipe with you to throw away later.

Easy.
