Work Travel Volunteer is produced and managed by Kate Lee and David Morris. We are two people who like travelling a lot. We have also worked abroad and volunteered abroad so we hopefully know a little bit about what we do :)

The idea for WTV first came about when we were having trouble searching for a small grassroots organisation in Africa that we could volunteer. It grew to incorporate both working and travelling abroad as well as volunteering when we realised no other website encompassed all three areas in a searchable database or useful independent website.

Kate has taken two long periods away from the UK to work, travel and volunteer abroad. From the highlands of Honduras through to the Ozzie outback, she's managed to build up an impressive collection of memories (and mosquito bites). Next stop is India for a crash course in yoga.

Kate previously worked in travel publishing both online and offline, and has helped produce a number of travel related books, magazines and educational products informing the world about leaving the rat race and getting away. You can email Kate your travel queries or comments and she'll try and help you. This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

David too is possessed by the great globe. He as been fortunate enough to take both a gap year and a career break through Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, East and Southern Africa, China, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand and Central America. The next trip should see him traversing overland on the Trans Siberian to Japan. Email David with any technical difficulties you come across at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

We're both keen environmentalists and conservationists and actively promote travelling responsibly and choosing organisations that do the same.
